Ask him to ferry you to Jatizso. Once there, head north to the gate. Open the door and walk in. West of the bank you will find King Gjuki Sorvott IV. Talk to him and he will ask you to get some Raw tuna for his cat. If you dont have some already, go back to the docks and fish some with your harpoon Requires 3. The Red Axe miners have arrived in the middle of the Kings story. His miners do not have enough time to collect 6 mithril ore or 7 coal if you dont have over 5. K if you collected coal. He will then want you to go to Neitiznot and look for his Spymaster. Pick up the jesters costume from the chest behind the throne and head back to the docks. Talk to Mord Gunnars to go back to Rellekka, then talk to Maria Gunnars to go to Neitiznot. Head up the path to the city and proceed in. You will find Slug Hemligssen north of the bank. Ask him for free stuff please and he will tell you to infiltrate the Burghers quarters. Go south of the bank and talk to Mawnis. Make sure your hands are empty. Talk to Mawnis again after you have the 8 pieces of rope. You will be rewarded 1k coins for them. He will then ask you to chop down and split 8 arctic pine logs. Head north and cut 8, then go to the center of town and split them on the woodcutting stump. Take the split pines back to Mawnis. He will reward you with 1. Now go get your rope, split pines, and your knife and head north to the broken bridges. Right click them and select the repair option to fix them. Once finished, head back to Mawnis. Talk to Mawnis and he will give you 1. They want to assault the troll caves. Mawnis will ask you to find out if the King has heard of his plans. Sail back to Rellekka and then to Jatizso, and talk to the King. The king wants you to collect taxes from people in the city. Go to each shopkeeper and collect their money. For each window, they must pay 1k coins. Keepa Kettilon must pay 5k, Skuli Myrka must pay 6k, Vanligga Gastfrihet must pay 5k, and Raum Urda Stein must pay 8k. After you collect all the taxes talk the king. He will now ask you to collect taxes from people with beards. Keepa Kettilon, Hring Hring, Flosi Dalksson, Skuli Myrka, and Raum Urda Stein all have beards. Once all the taxes have been collected, the king will ask you to go back to Neitiznot to find out who was helping to repair the bridges. Talk to the spymaster and he will tell you to spy on Mawnis again. Wear the jester costume, free both hands, and then talk to Mawnis. Once finished, go to the spymaster and tell him these answers Etceteria, potions, and I am helping Neitiznot. The spy will then pay you 2. Report back to the King and tell him of this. He will lock the doors and then you will start to insult him. The king will decide that Neitiznot is trying to steal all the glory of killing the trolls and will have you take a decree back to Mawnis on Neitiznot telling him that Jatizso is going to attack the trolls. Deliver the decree to Mawnis and he will tell you that you must create the proper equipment to fight the trolls. Obtain 3 yak hides and talk to Thakkrad Sigmundson to get them cured. Then buy a needle and thread from Jofridr Mordstatter. Use the needle on the hides to craft the top and bottom of the armor. Speak to Mawnis to learn about the last item you must craft. Mawnis will tell you to make a shield. Cut two Arctic pines and then go to the stump in the middle of the town. Craft the shield using bronze nails, a rope, and a hammer. Talk to Mawnis again and he will appoint you champion of Neitiznot. Once you have stocked up on food and supplies, head to the cave to fight the troll king. Head as far north as possible. Then head east until you see the dungeon marker on the mini map. You may want to wear the armour and the shield made during the quest as the armour highly reduces the damage done by the trolls. Protect from melee is also highly recommended. Once you enter the cave you will see a cut scene. You must kill 1. 0 trolls to face the king. You can request supplies from Bork such as tuna, 4 strength potions, and 2 prayer potions. Use them whenever you need to. Try to only fight one of the trolls at a time, and use protection prayers so you are not damaged. Once you have killed 1. The Troll King is level 1. Use the protect from range prayer as you fight him. He will sometimes use ice barrage and freeze you so be careful. You CAN NOT use range to fight the boss, he will be unaffectedAfter the battle is over, decapitate his head, then jump over the eastern bridge. Note As the fight takes place in an instanced room, hence you will lose your items in case you are killed and wont be able to retrieve them. Therefore, make sure that, if you are low on health, it is advised that you teleport out of the cave instead of crossing the bridge to the east because you will have to dodge more Ice trolls. Follow the path and climb up the stone ladder. When you go up the stone ladder there will be Ice trolls that attack you Return to the city by going south. Woodcutting is one of the well recognized skills of Rune. Scape because there are trees scattered all over Rune. Scape. It is an ideal skill to start if you wish to gain some decent money at low levels. Woodcutting is a very profitable skill. Although you will have to get a high woodcutting level to start earning some decent money, with dedication you could be earning millions. Other uses for Woodcutting are firemaking and fletching, a members skill. With firemaking, you burn the logs. They are wasted, but you gain firemaking levels. Other uses for normal logs with fletching are making arrow shafts. All other logs are limited to making various items. Basics. You start with a bronze hatchet you get on the tutorial and you click on a tree. You will then swing at the tree until you gain the logs, and then the tree will disappear. As you gain higher levels, and get up to oak and willow logs you will swing multiple times at the tree, and gain multiple logs before the tree disappears. There are four free player logs, and four members only logs. Normal, oak, willow and yew logs are available to free players and members, while members have maple, teak, mahogany and magic logs. Note that Maple logs are indeed tradable on F2. P as a firemaking tool, but cannot be chopped, as they are found only in Members areas of the Rune. Scape world. To aid in finding rare trees Maple trees and above, Jagex has put in a rare tree icon on the minimap. Levels, Requirements and Apparel. As you know, there are many trees in Rune. Scape. In fact, the only thing that outstrips the number of trees in the game is players. The table below outlines the eight log types players can attain, the level required to chop them, and the experience gained. The Arctic Pine tree is located only in the Fremennik Isles, and you must have at least started the Fremennik Isles quest to be able to chop them. Maple logs are a free to play item, although the trees are only found in members areas. There are many axes you can use to cut logs. The better the axe, the easier it will be to chop trees and get logs faster, but different axes have different level requirements. Lumberjack clothing can be obtained from killing undead Lumberjacks during the Burgh de Rott minigame the broken bridge puzzle. Each piece of lumberjack clothing, when worn, will increase the amount of XP you receive from chopping a log. When wearing the whole set, you will attain a 3. XP bonus for each log chopped. Level 4. 4 woodcutting is required to wear these members only, untradable items, and to obtain them you must have completed the Priest in Peril, Nature Spirit, In Search of the Myreque and In Aid of the Myreque quests. Considering the intensity and time required to get them, it would be going out of your way to get them if you have not done any of the requirements as it is. However for the avid woodcutter, it is time well spent. Training Methods and Locations. Level 1 to 3. 5Level 1 is the starting point for all great woodcutters. At this level, you can cut normal and evergreen trees. Members can use the regular logs they obtain from such trees, to fletch arrow shafts. A good spot to train for non members is by draynor manor with the forest of dead trees. At level 1. 5, you can chop oak trees. However, these can be a little slow, so if you stay around the same general area of Draynor woods, you can interchange between regular trees and oaks. At level 2. 5, you should now be able to chop oaks fast enough continue chopping in the forest just east of Draynor. At level 3. 0, you can chop willows, but continue with oaks until around level 3. Members should consider training in Mc. Grubors Woods, as it is not crowded and the trees are more spread out. Level 3. 6 to 6. 0. From level 3. 6, you should be able to chop willows fast enough. For Free players, the best place to chop and bank your willows is Draynor Village, just south of the bank. For Members, you cant go past the willows outside the Barbarian Assault mini game, as there are eight willow trees, accompanied by a deposit box just inside the mini game. Willow logs can be a very good money maker for lower levels, making up to 2. Other good spots include South of Rimmington, West of Port Sarim, East of Port Sarim, and beside the Champions Guild. Unfortunately these spots are second rate, due to the fact that there are no nearby banks. However, if you are dropping or burning your logs as you go, these places are never crowded, so are far better than Draynor. For members, there are also large amounts of willow trees located by the Lady of the Lake, in Taverley. Once again, there is no bank handy for banking logs, so this spot is better for people burning or dropping their logs. Members can also cut maple trees at level 4. Maples dont give quite as good experience as willows, but if you are cutting for money, fletching or firemaking, then these will give a bonus over willows in that they give more experience when fletched or burned, and sell for more. Members can make use of make use of the massive maple tree plantation north of Seers Village, or the smaller grove just above the Seers Village Bank. There are also several trees scattered elsewhere around Seers Village, if you dont mind running around a bit. Barbarian Outpost has four willow trees, and a deposit box for banking them. They are quiet, but the lack of a proper bank may put some people off. Free players Willows are the best experience for free players up until the time when you can chop yews quickly. Members You can continue with willows past level until yews or you can swap over to Maple Trees, in Seers Village, and outside Sinclair Mansion. If you are only chopping for Woodcutting experience, willows give the best experience until, like Free players, you can chop yews quickly. Use a Games Necklace to quickly teleport to the Barbarian Assault mini game. Level 6. 0 7. 5At level 6. Trying to do so at this level, though, is utterly pointless. The only reason you would even bother is if you are after money however, yew logs only make around 3. There are three locations where free players can chop yews easily. These three free world locations are Edgeville, North of Varrock Castle and South of Falador, as detailed in the image below. There are also less crowded, but more out of the way, locations North East of Port Sarim, East of Draynor Village, and in Lumbridge Churchyard. Members have a few more options for chopping yews, namely the very popular grove of trees at Catherby, and the three churchyard trees in Seers Village, as shown in the image below. There are some other less crowded spots as well, including several Yew trees in the Tree Gnome Stronghold and Zanaris, as well as a large number in the Piscatoris hunting area. Free players If you are only after money, you can begin chopping yews. Otherwise, stick with willows if you are after experience. At level 7. 0, woodcutting yews picks up a bit, although not enough to outrun willows in the experience per hour department. Members Once again, if you are only after money, you can start chopping yews now. However, its advisable to continue to train on willows, or maples, until at least level 7. A good place to cut willows or maples is north of the Seers bank. Level 7. 6 9. 9. You are an expert at woodcutting at this point. You can chop every log in the game, and you can do it well. You should know the best places to chop whatever it is you are after, but well cover some good magic tree locations all the same. At level 7. 5, members can chop magic trees. However, if you are after experience, stay with willows. Even at level 8. 0, magic trees are very slow. The magic tree areas are often crowded, so you also have to put up with that if you decide to chop magic trees for money. You would be better off chopping yews until at least level 8.
